The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Pathology is seeking experienced applicants for an academic position in the Pediatric Pathology Division. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. The position requires experience in all facets of pediatric and perinatal pathology and demonstrated accomplishments in research. The applicant must have an M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or D.O.; BE/BC by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology or Anatomic Pathology; BE/BC in Pediatric Pathology; and have or be eligible for a full Texas medical license. In addition to patient care activities, the selected candidate will be expected to participate in medical student and house staff teaching and develop or continue his/her research program. The primary clinical responsibilities are at the expanding to 212-bed, tertiary care, Children's Medical Center, Plano, TX, part of Children's Health. In addition to patient care activities, the incumbent will be expected to participate in departmental and institutional activities, medical student and house staff teaching and mentoring, and develop or continue his/her own research program. Outstanding opportunities for collaborative, translational research are available with members of both basic science and clinical departments throughout UT Southwestern.
