JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the project team, detailed design support, construction validation and support, and start-up of industrial services mechanical equipment, including steam systems, hot water systems, cooling tower systems, chill water systems, refrigeration systems, compressed air systems, industrial waste, and HVAC systems
* Ensure knowledge in your technical areas of expertise, coordinating with Experts/Specialists within and outside engineering to align with safety, product quality, and operations objectives.
* Oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient installation and start-up of the industrial services to meet operational demands.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and internal company's requirements from design through operation of the IS plant.
* Drive resource conservation and awareness within the facility

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering field with 5 years of engineering experience.
* Prior experience in a manufacturing/factory environment is required.
* Prior experience on a capital project is required.
* Ability to work in manufacturing environments, including utility departments, roofs, cooling towers, catwalks, and areas with extreme temperature variations.
* Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Requires daily walking through a construction site.
* Knowledge of steam systems, hot water systems, cooling tower systems, chill water systems, refrigeration systems, compressed air systems, industrial waste, and HVAC systems
* Proficiency in project skills, including equipment specifications and sizing requirements, and the deliverables required to complete detailed engineering support (managing a third-party engineering consultant) and design work packages.
* General understanding of best practices for utility design, installation, and operations.
* Steel toe shoes are required, and to be provided by the worker at own expense (job requirement).
