Position Description

The Contracting Services Department Logistics Team is seeking an Administrative Assistant to perform a wide variety of daily administrative support tasks. These include: assisting customers at the Shipping and Receiving counter; sourcing, obtaining quotes, and processing purchase requisitions for stockroom materials; reconciling and processing shipping invoices for payment; uploading material certifications into the stockroom catalog database; processing a variety of Laboratory web-based forms such as ship order requests, out-processing forms, and work order requests; processing electronic shopping carts and PCard purchases for supplies, services, and Logo Store merchandise; scanning various documents for electronic storage and answering incoming calls to Shipping and Receiving.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • At least 2.5 years of directly related experience required. Post high-school education will count toward experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
  • Experience with ERP systems required, experience with SAP ECC highly desirable
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills required
  • Must have effective administrative skills, attention to detail, be well-organized and able to prioritize multiple complex tasks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
