Job Description

The IT Digital Delivery Director is responsible for leading the digital transformation initiatives within the bank, ensuring the delivery of innovative and efficient digital solutions that align with the bank's strategic goals. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to drive digital projects from conception to implementation, while maintaining a high level of security and compliance. Works with the CIO and Information Technology Department (ITD) managers with risk assessing any and all changes to systems, applications, or procedures in the ITD and developing the agreed upon policies and procedures for adequate oversite of each type of change. Responsible for the development, direction, performance and ongoing health and availability of the application and reporting architecture and foundation of IT technologies. Works with all levels of external vendors, leadership and business stakeholders to develop and implement the strategic direction of the systems architecture aligned with the strategic plan. Works directly with business leaders, and directs members of the Digital Delivery team to effectively plan and implement application and reporting architectures that align with business goals and objectives. Coordinates the efforts of IT team members involved in delivering digital technology solutions for business units. Constantly strives to collaborate with stakeholders driving product and platform efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the digital delivery team to execute projects that enhance the bank's digital capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT, business units, and external partners to define digital project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of digital solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards and business requirements.
  • Ensure digital projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while managing risks and issues effectively, reporting progress, performance, and outcomes to senior management and relevant committees
  • Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the digital delivery team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital trends and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Support the bank's enterprise risk framework and cybersecurity posture by implementing robust digital security measures.
  • Contribute to the IT strategy and roadmap, ensuring digital initiatives align with the bank's strategic plan and regulatory requirements
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure the best value for the bank
  • Act as IT liaison to the business ensuring that business goals and objectives are identified and addressed with appropriate technology solutions
  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and application owners and direct the integration and testing of new software programs, reports and applications. Identify and resolve application issues
  • Manage and direct digital delivery resources and alignment with business as usual and project efforts
  • Ensure system effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensure coordination all efforts to establish/implement product enhancements as needed
  • Responsible for technical design, development, and upgrades with all stakeholders
  • Identifies potential new product opportunities and areas to increase efficiency
  • Provide regular reporting to Executive leadership related to Information Technology strategy and Digital Delivery as appropriate
  • Develop and monitor policies and procedures related to IT systems
  • Provide technical leadership to project managers and engineers working on project teams
  • Advise IT Operations, as needed, with unplanned or break/fix requirements to be addressed for change control and oversight
  • Work with ITD managers on risk assessments and developing policies and procedures for adequate oversite of digital systems
Experience and Skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 10 years managing application delivery, integration, and support professionals
  • Extensive knowledge of line of business processes and applications, preferably in a financial services environment
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Strong understanding of information security concepts
  • Extensive knowledge of the Bank's software applications, integration methodology, and data processing systems
  • Proficiency in documenting process related to technology projects
  • Proficiency in developing policies and procedures related to technology projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • Experience with MS-Office products, specifically; Visio, Excel, Word

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BS/BA degree in computer science
  • 10-15 years banking and/or technology experience
  • Expertise in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), or Agile delivery processes
  • Knowledge of the Bank's software applications, technological infrastructure, networking and network design
  • Proven track record of leadership in technology management including excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Experience with core, online banking solutions, and forward thinking banking technologies

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Normal business office environment
  • Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary
  • Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management
