Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Plans and implements the delivery of Early Intervention services to eligible children and their families from intake through transition according to RI Operational Standards and Individual Family Service Plans. Services are provided in collaboration with families and other team members and reflect the priorities of the family and team in a manner that is developmentally appropriate and incorporates goals and strategies into daily home routines. Functions as a team member in promoting excellence in the field and adhering to agency professional standards of care in order to continuously improve the quality-of-service delivery.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or higher degree consistent with RI Early Intervention requirements for Qualified Personnel or
  • Completion of a program of advanced study as required for certification, licensure, or registration in the relevant discipline, or
  • Current certificate, license, or registration for a discipline listed under Qualified Personnel in RI Early Intervention guidelines.
  • Minimum 1-3 years direct service experience with young children with special needs and their families.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Will provide services in the homes of various clients, in the community and agency and provide own reliable transportation.
  • Will communicate with consumers and colleagues in person and via phone.
  • Will provide role-modeling and education on various topics related to parent-child development.
  • Will demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with consumers and colleagues.
