We're seeking a future team member for the role of VP, Product Management to join our Investor Solutions team, with focus on the digital products supporting the business. This role is located in Westborough, New York, Pittsburgh - Hybrid Schedule

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Work closely with more experienced colleagues with relevant competitive, market and/or financial analyses to gain breadth/depth of knowledge in relevant products, services and platforms, define the product vision, refine and communicate the product roadmap in the Global Transfer Agent/Sub-accounting space
  • Develop ideas for digital product enhancements and/or expansion to other regions/lines of business based on client feedback and input as well as on the risk and regulatory environment
  • Conduct triage of portal user issues/coordinate with operations, technology teams to resolve the issues
  • Gather and develop product requirements; translate product strategy into detailed requirements
  • Employ a client-focused, strategic approach to developing the business case for firm offerings in the marketplace through in-depth analyses on client segments, competitive landscape and industry environment
  • Create product strategy documents that articulate business cases, use cases, client experience
  • Prioritize and evangelize a client-centric, digital mindset with cross-functional partners across engineering, sales, relationship management, legal, compliance, operations and other internal teams as part of new product development, enhancement, delivery, strategy, and planning to ensure the product provides all features needed in order to accomplish business goals
  • Manage product and project deliverables to ensure timely delivery
  • Conduct data analysis to drive product decisions, develop metrics for success; prepare metrics and digital usage and adoption reports
  • Research and support product profitability by pricing for the assigned product or product line in order to achieve operating plan revenue goals. Perform ad-hoc competitive analyses, market research, and regulatory research.
  • Support technical training and product demonstrations, develop user guides for clients, prepare sales and training materials

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Creative, open-minded, and curious team players with 5-7 years of professional experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience in digital technology management is a plus
  • Individuals with a learner's mindset and energetic approach to solution development and design
  • Manage complexity with an unrelenting focus and prioritization
  • Be a thoughtful communicator who can express complex ideas in simple, practical terms for a wide range audiences
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, communication, presentation and networking skills, Business Analysis skills preferred (e.g., Requirements Gathering / Documentation)
  • Adaptability to highly dynamic and collaborative work environments\
  • Experience in Roadmap Analysis / Creation, User Experience / Journey Mapping, and Data Analytics
  • Experience managing components of the end-to-end product development lifecycle
  • Strong Project Management / Agile Methodology skills
  • Strong tool experience; Excel, PowerPoint, Flow Diagrams (Visio / other tool), Analytics (Power BI, other), JIRA

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $66,000 and $133,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
