Under the general direction of the Interventional Radiology Manager and within established hospital and departmental guidelines, the Materials Specialist stocks and replenishes unit supply rooms on daily basis. Functions as customer service liaison between Radiology and Materials Management. Receives and distributes deliveries to and from hospital staff members and product end users. Utilizes inventory system Mobile aspects and associated website for tracking of stock. Resolves customer inquiries regarding package location, delivery and returns.

- Unloads, receives, and processes supplies accordingly.
- RFID ticketing of product and stocking appropriately in Mobile Aspects cabinets.
- Coordinates the processing of outgoing packages including recalls and returns.
- Accountable for verification of delivery receipts and proof of delivery to end user.
- Exercises appropriate body mechanics, care and caution when handling and delivering materials.
- Provides customer service support to end users and staff members regarding product location, delivery and returns.
- Follows Hospital, JCAHO, Departmental and DPH guidelines and procedures.
- Performs distribution functions, including unit assessment and replenishment of assigned nursing units.
- Stocks and maintains unit supply rooms - daily basis.
- Monitors expiration dates of sterile commodities to ensure usage or return to inventory prior to expiration dates.
- Reports any discrepancies, problems or questions IR Operations Manager.
- Focuses on customer service, such as resolving customer inquiries related to Distribution and maintains a positive
working relationship with individual unit staff members. Follows Hospital, JCAHO Departmental and DPH guidelines and
procedures for stocking, rotation and issue. Performs other duties as assigned.
