Overview:
Revvity is hiring a Senior HR Specialist, highly skilled in Leave Administration to support our employees across North America in managing various leave programs.The Senior HR Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and all relevant regulations.

Serving as the primary point of contact for employees seeking information and assistance with leave requests, the Senior HR Specialist will provide guidance and support throughout the process. This role will involve providing direct support and counseling to employees on leave eligibility as well as collaborating closely with HR colleagues, managers, and external partners to facilitate smooth transitions during leave periods, ensuring a seamless integration upon the employees' return to work.

The ideal candidate will bring solid understanding in navigating leave practices, working knowledge of leave related employment laws across U.S. and Canada with the ability to demonstrate care and empathy to our employees requiring time away from work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of employee leave programs, including but not limited to FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accommodations, Paid time off (PTO) Sick leave, Maternity/paternity leave, Military leave, Bereavement leave and Workers Compensation.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding leave-related inquiries, providing guidance and assistance throughout the leave process.
  • Coordinate with HR team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of leave requests, maintaining detailed records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to facilitate smooth transitions for employees going on leave and returning to work, including communication of expectations and accommodations as needed.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to leave administration, ensuring compliance, and making recommendations for policy updates as necessary.
  • Conduct trainings and informational sessions for employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with external partners, such as benefits providers and legal counsel, to address complex leave situations and ensure legal compliance.
  • Escalation and resolution of claims issues, that arise, interfacing with the vendor if the employee is having challenges and partnering with our internal Benefits Team as the owner of the vendor relationship.
  • Monitoring vendor reporting and documentation; address process concerns.
  • Use discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • As time allows, provide support with regional HR operational activities that may include onboarding and offboarding processes, employee records management, employee inquiries, and other HR initiatives and programs partnering with HR Operations and/or HR Business Partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in HR with a specific focus on leave administration.
  • Experience working with an HRIS system is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Workday experience is ideal.
  • Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA and other relevant leave regulations including state specific requirements across the U.S. and Canada.
  • In depth knowledge of California, Colorado and Massachusetts leave related laws and familiarity with private plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to demonstrate empathy to employees under stressful situations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills with strong follow up and follow through to timely resolution.
