Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational:

* Act as a liaison for our internal and external customers. Effectively communicate Linen department services, policies and procedures and assist with inquiry resolution. Take appropriate steps to assist customers, fostering an accessible and user-friendly environment.

* Runs the Lab Coat room, tracking and recording all usage of personalized lab coats, pool lab coats, scrubs, warm up jackets, etc.

* Inspect condition and quantity of all incoming Lab Coats and scrubs. Remove unfavorable (torn, stained, worn) laundered items.

* Accurately delegate customer 'demand calls' for linen to appropriate Linen Handler for timely and accurate delivery. Have the ability to differentiate between a 'STAT Call' from a routine 'Demand Call'

* Ensure that all departmental documents including Demand Call Sheets and phone messages are legible and accurately documented. Ensure that all documentation is appropriately filed and readily available.

* Accurately stage and prioritize delivery of Patient Linen, Scrubs, Lab Coats and other hospital related deliveries. Assemble linen orders for delivery to outside practices.

* Resolve telephone inquiries relating to any linen issue.

* Monitor Linen services inbox for all Linen and scrub related inquiries.

* Manage ScrubEx access for all hospital staff.

* Communicate with Linen Vendor to request/cancel different linen items as needed.

* Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

* High School diploma required or GED equivalent.

* 3 years experience in operations, preferably in a health care setting.

* Must possess the ability to take initiative, work independently and prioritize work loads.

* Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills are essential.

* Requires excellent interpersonal, influential and organization skills.

* Experience with Microsoft Office applications helpful.
