Our Team provides managed services and proactive and reactive support to our global customers. We utilize tools, processes, and knowledge to integrate and maintain Akamai security, media, and performance solutions. We work as part of cross-functional account teams to solve problems and provide creative solutions.

Partner with the best

You will serve as the primary point of contact for our Gaming customers' security services. As a trusted consultant, you will deliver exceptional service, drive security solutions, enhance our customers' security posture. You will undertake complex challenges to ensure successful integration and support on our platform.

As a Security Consultant II, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading implementations of Akamai security solutions for Gaming customers, ensuring alignment with their requirements and business objectives
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess client needs, evaluate architecture, and develop tailored security solutions
  • Maintaining trusted customer relationships by providing exceptional service, technical guidance, regular updates, and effective communication
  • Working with Akamai's security experts on complex technical challenges to ensure successful implementations
  • Identifying risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies, and escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution
  • Participating in projects to improve service quality and stay updated on industry trends and security best practices

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, another related field or its equivalent
  • Understand internet technologies and network protocols (IP, DNS and routing, HTTP, SSL/TLS, TCP or web architecture)
  • Be knowledgable in security processes and technologies (SIEM, WAF, Bot Management, DDoS Mitigation, and OWASP Top10)
  • Demonstrate Project Management proficiency within large, matrixed organizations
  • Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role within the Information Technology industry
  • Have excellent business communication and presentation skills, and an ability to influence, and build trusted customer relationships

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $102,973 - $154,614/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
