The opportunity:

The Senior Compensation Manager is responsible for the design, analysis, and administration of global compensation programs working directly with the Human Resources team, business directors, and the Chief Financial Officer. This position provides expertise related to all areas of compensation including but not limited to benchmarking, sales compensation program design and modeling, and compensation analytics. The Senior Compensation Manager will ensure HBP's total compensation programs and practices remain competitive and strategically aligned to the business.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the execution of compensation programs including base salary, sales incentive compensation and our annual bonus program
  • Manage the annual merit increase cycle for our global employee population
  • Review and evaluate employee salary data, perform job evaluations and analyze survey market data
  • Partner with sales leaders to support the annual sales planning process. Create sales models and analytics to support decision making and update sales summary plan descriptions.
  • Build and run models for cost analysis for salary increases, adjustments to structures and incentive plans
  • Manage quarterly and annual incentive payout processes
  • Manage timelines and project plans for compensation planning cycles
  • Prepare compensation reporting for Harvard Business Publishing's Compensation Committee.
  • Prepare submissions for annual salary and practices surveys and provides analysis of the results to ensure our data is market competitive and current.

What you'll bring:

  • 7 to 10 years of compensation experience with 4-5 years in sales compensation
  • Advanced analytical, excel and data modeling skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Must be a team player and able to work with employees at all levels

You'll stand out if you have:

  • Familiarity with Workday and COMP XL
  • Certified compensation professional designation

$120,000 - $140,000

Above is the annualized pay range for this position. In addition, this position includes the opportunity to earn our annual Performance Based Variable Pay Program. Actual salary will be set based upon a range of factors, including external benchmark market data, individual knowledge, skills, experience, location and internal equity.
