Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

    Providing administration and operations and maintenance support on Linux RedHat version 6 or later.
  • Providing quality Tier 2 and Tier 3 Service Desk services, including responsively communicating with users, analyzing tickets to identify issues, developing proposed solutions, and resolving tickets.
  • Preparing, documenting, and maintaining standard configurations (including hardware, OS, and software) for core devices and infrastructure, physical and virtual servers.
  • Performing server monitoring, management, and optimization.
  • Collaborating with Tier 1 and Tier 3 staff to ensure all Tier 2 and Tier 2 escalated incidents and service requests are resolved consistent with SLA requirements.
  • Maintaining a knowledge base of FAQs for Tier 2
  • Providing general application support services for COTS Contractor, or SaaS provider certifying applications are fully functional and operate correctly as intended on systems consistent with USAID Systems Security Policy.
  • Reviewing and updating standard images for Linux OS environment to incorporate new changes and ensure configurations follow a defined CM process.
  • Providing platform operation and administration support for PaaS resources, virtual machines, and base operating systems (Linux based) on co-located virtual servers hosted in a cloud environments.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining antivirus software on Linux servers.
  • Maintaining Linux Active Directory (AD) integration.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

  • U.S. Citizen; eligible for U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 - 11 years, master's degree with 3 - 9 years, or PhD with 1 - 6 years' experience is required; Years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Experiencing supporting Linux RedHat version 6 or later
  • Ability to support core business hours and on-call support during non-core business hours.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Red Hat Certified Administrator (RHCSA)

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
