About the Opportunity

The Analyst on the small cap growth team will research and analyze a wide range of companies across sectors focusing on small cap growth equities. The goal of the Analyst is to develop differentiated insights that allow for high conviction investment opportunities. These conclusions are derived from a creative, thorough, and iterative research process. This position will be located in our Boston office.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this role?
  • Analyze a wide range of companies across sectors focusing on U.S. small cap growth equities

  • Leverage network of industry experts and other sources while conducting frequent meetings with company management teams

  • Develop clear, insightful analysis of companies, and industries that provides relevant investment insights

  • Develop and maintain clear understanding of, and position on, competitive landscape, sector specific themes, management styles and business structure, etc.

  • Build and maintain detailed, specific, complete models on positions

  • Communicate rationale for recommendations to teammates, and share sector themes and investment insights

  • Actively monitor companies under coverage and communicate important changes in a timely manner

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Analyst with 3+ years of experience in equity analysis

  • MBA or CFA preferred, or progress towards

  • Outstanding financial, fundamental, strategic, and communication skills

  • Ability to articulate and present complex information in an understandable format.

  • Comfortable with developing conviction and expressing strong opinions, often in situations where there is a time and/or information constraint.

  • Demonstrated passion for stocks and companies.

  • Motivated to work in a small team setting and collectively build a strong product track record.

  • Strong work ethic and a high level of curiosity to understand companies.
