Responsibilities

Ready to make an impact? Peraton has an exciting opportunity for a cleared Configuration Management (CM) Lead to manage system CM processes for an RF/SATCOM system. The CM Lead will work as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, developing a next generation satellite terminal on a mission critical Space and Intelligence Program.

Primary responsibilities include:

    Establishes and maintains configuration and data management policies and procedures to be utilized by program personnel and other participating functions
  • Follows CM policies and procedures and ensures a standard and cost-effective approach to the application of configuration and data management requirements
  • Analyzes changes to product specifications to determine the effect on the end-product and determines and prepares documentation necessary for change control
  • Designs and establishes configuration management documentation applicable across multiple product-based programs
  • Coordinates running the Configuration Change Board (CCB) and authorizes the release of drawings, schedules and system configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups through the Change Request process
  • Operates configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and auditing
  • Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new configuration management baseline operating parameters are documented, comply with standard configurations, and are logistically sustainable
  • Works with standard commercial software products used for configuration management (e.g. DOORS, JSMART, etc.)
  • May develop configuration standards for company-wide use
  • May train requirement engineers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of CM quality standards
  • May provide guidance to less experienced employees
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A current Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain/pass a polygraph and obtain SCI
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience performing Configuration Management Systems analysis activities or High School Diploma plus 12 years of relevant experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Experience working across the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Levels working environment
  • Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable CM process solutions
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to use Jira, Confluence, and/ or Sharepoint folder access for configuration, and data management processes
  • Experience creating detailed reports and presenting information
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Visio and Power-Point.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
