TEST TECHNICIAN

Job Purpose:

To perform testing on completed products to ensure quality.

Nature of Duties:

• Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
• Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
• Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
• May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
• Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Education and Experience:

• 2 year electronic technical degree, or equivalent experience
• 4 - 6 years experience in manufacturing testing
• Knowledge of materials, tooling, and mechanical assembly
• Some experience with Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Waveform Generators and other test equipment preferred
• Ability to follow oral and written guidelines or drawings and accurately and concisely communicate testing results
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Detail oriented
• Excellent Computer skills
