Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Pharmacoepidemiologist for a Managing Scientist position in our Health Sciences Practice in Natick, MA. In this role, you will work as part of a team to provide a high level of support to consultants on projects related to epidemiologic evaluations involving pharmaceutical products, such as evaluation of adverse/side effects, review of epidemiologic literature, comparative effectiveness research, analyses using electronic health data, and/or assistance with regulatory documents and analyses. You will be trained and mentored by senior level consultants in the practice and will have opportunities to collaborate with other groups at Exponent. You will lead projects, build on relationships with existing clients, and work towards developing new business in related Health Sciences areas, particularly in the areas of pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance.

You will be responsible for
  • Using expertise in pharmacoepidemiology to solve diverse and often complex human health problems affecting a range of clients
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
  • Providing project management and project budget oversight
  • Promoting Exponent's multidisciplinary consulting expertise by publishing papers, presenting at conferences, and conducting seminars
You will have the following skills and qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Health Economics and Outcomes, or related scientific field, or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) with master's degree in Epidemiology or related field
  • Experience interacting with pharmaceutical regulatory agencies such as FDA, EMA, and Health Canada is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of related post-graduate experience in the medical product arena
  • 5+ years of consulting experience is preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding reputation among clients for integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise
  • Adept management abilities and demonstrated project management experience
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong commitment to professional development
