Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for the overall efficient operation of all facility infrastructures, including electrical, mechanical, cleanroom, HVAC, boiler, fire and security alarm systems and all essential supporting equipment. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, performance, modification and economical operation of all facility equipment and infrastructure. Plans, coordinates, oversees, and performs infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities. Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, security and health and safety standards. Prepares and maintains schedules, reports, and compliance documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical facilities infrastructure, including HVAC systems, cleanrooms, electrical distribution, and other utilities to ensure a controlled and stable environment for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Create, communicate, and manage project scope, schedule and budget for minor upgrades and maintenance projects.
  • Specify and request required materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Ensures UPS systems, battery back-up, process water systems, compressed air systems, plumbing, and cleanroom infrastructure are all operating properly.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Interface with and oversee contractors performing troubleshooting and maintenance activities and cleaning contractors.
  • Ensure compliance for building cleanroom, safety, security, and maintenance (fire and hazmat safety).
  • Work closely with management to ensure facilities follow National, State, local building/ mechanical/ electrical codes; safety codes; OSHA regulations; fire codes; Masimo Semiconductor's policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor the use of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Own and compile documentation from facility drawings showing electrical, ventilation, equipment, and facility layouts.
  • Serve as primary contact for routine facility needs and issues.
  • Work with staff to specify facility requirements and solutions.
  • Train backup personnel in the execution of routine maintenance and facilities actions.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience working with facility infrastructure.
  • Experience in working around and with toxic gases and/or liquids.
  • A working knowledge of facility sub-systems is required, such as HVAC, electrical distribution, process water systems, compressed air, cleanroom, and gas distribution systems.
  • Working knowledge of standard CAD, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and database programs.
  • Active and effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced dynamic environment meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience in Semiconductor or chemical-related facility

Education: Bachelor's degree, engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.

Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $90,000 to $125,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Physical Requirements/ Work Environment

This position primarily works in a production laboratory team environment.

  • Stand unassisted for prolonged periods of time, an average of 4 hours/day.
  • Lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Climb 8 footstep ladders.
  • Handle small, fragile components with precise hand movements.
  • Wear and change in and out of cleanroom clothing several times per day.
  • Wear Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA), requires medical qualification.
  • Wear and change in and out of full bunny suit and wear respirator or SCUBA.
  • No facial hair that would impede proper operation of a respirator or SCUBA
  • Hearing corrected to normal level.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
