We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, IWM Portfolio Manager II to join our Fixed Income team in Wealth Management. This role is located in Boston, MA and is eligible for flexible work arrangement.

Description:

  • Manages, independently and with other members of the Fixed Income team, taxable fixed income accounts within investment policy guidelines to achieve investment objectives. Implements investment strategies consistent with client financial goals and risk tolerance and in accordance with the investment policies/philosophies and procedures and applicable regulations. Evaluates the performance of investments, and ensures that individual portfolios are structured in line with goals/strategies developed by and agreed upon by the Fixed Income team.
  • Executes on a timely basis trades of fixed income securities including but not limited to Treasuries, agencies, corporate bonds, taxable municipal bonds and asset- or mortgage-backed securities.
  • Assures timely and accurate execution of taxable fixed income buy or sell orders submitted by Wealth Management portfolio managers and account officers for non-actively managed accounts.
  • Coordinates with the Fixed Income settlements group.
  • Effectively communicates philosophy/process and attribution analysis both to internal and external clients.
  • Participates in client review meetings as needed as well as in new business efforts.
  • Responds quickly and accurately to client requests and maintains appropriate documentation.
  • Contributes to team strategy meetings, sharing opinions and independent research., and works with Credit Research group within the Fixed Income team.
  • Works with research, strategy team members and other members of the Fixed Income team.
  • Maintains and improves risk controls, including but not limited to controls around individual credits, allocation to sector and risk buckets.
  • Works to improve, streamline and automate trading, portfolio management and reporting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Candidate should have strong marketing /commercial experience and skill set."
  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred. CFA certification or progress toward certification is desirable.
  • 5-10 years of total work experience preferred and 5 years or more of investment experience preferred for MBAs or CFAs.
