Shift Available:Full - Time 7A-7P OR 7P-7A
Our unit focuses on intensive care for adult patients with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular diseases and or requiring surgeries related to these categories. Patient to nursing staff ratio is 2:1, or 1:1 for higher acuity patients. Our unit is considered the only center in Oklahoma that reports thoracic surgery data to the Society of Thoracic Surgery (STS). Focused patient care areas include post-operative cardiac surgery (minimally invasive and open coronary bypass graft, aortic root repair or replacement, Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), among others. Post-operative thoracic surgery populations cared for include esophagectomies, paraesophageal hernia repairs, fundoplications, video and or robot-assisted thoracotomies, lobectomies, and pneumonectomies, etc. Post-operative vascular surgeries include minimally invasive thoracic and abdominal endovascular aortic repairs (TeVAR/EVAR), bypass grafting of major arterial vessels (Fem-pop, pop-pop), peripheral artery stents, etc.
Experienced RN:

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (American Heart Association) within 6 months of hire.
