Position Purpose
As a member of the SunStream Service Desk team, you will have the opportunity to obtain real life experience in technical service desk functions. Throughout the internship, you provide security account administration along with first line of support for applications, workstations, printers, peripherals, and handheld devices to both internal and external customers. A majority of time spent in this role involves direct customer interaction, either by phone or in person, while attempting to resolve technical issues. The position will commence at the beginning of June, with flexibility in the start and finish dates. There is a possibility for extension and development into a 2021 year-round internship. You would be expected to work 15-20 hours per week during the school year and required to work 40 hours per week during the months of June through August, with flexibility throughout the duration of the internship. Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidate should working towards an Associate's degree in Applied or Computer Science
  • General knowledge of handheld devices, computer hardware, printers, and peripherals
  • General knowledge of network infrastructure and concepts
  • General understanding of troubleshooting issues remotely
  • General understanding of providing hardware and peripherals support to users
  • General understanding of mobile devices preferred
  • General understanding of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, and other related systems
  • General understanding of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications
  • General understanding of systems security
  • General understanding of software troubleshooting
  • Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and customers
  • Continually striving to exceed customer expectations
  • Ensure customers are responded to and issues are resolved in a timely manner according to defined SLA's
  • Ensure customers are informed of progress being made on issues, problems, and projects
  • Escalate issues to the correct people and groups in a timely and accurate manner
  • Continual work towards enhancing and exceeding customer service expectations
  • Continued attention to detail in every initiative
  • Must have a proactive approach and self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics
  • Ability to work independently with a sense of purpose, decisiveness and urgency
  • Demonstrated ability/aptitude to anticipate problems and suggest creative solutions
  • Ability to be creative and flexible due to changing priorities
  • Flexibility, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
